Moving major, business-supporting applications to the cloud can be a challenge for a variety of reasons. You may have concerns about the physical migration of data, as data loss or business disruption stemming from a migration issue would be a disaster for the business. Security is another typical concern, as a data breach of your most sensitive applications—like SAP or Oracle— could prove highly damaging. Akin to security, data sovereignty is an issue for many businesses. Stringent compliance laws in some jurisdictions are dictating data “residency”; and in the cloud, it is not always clear where the data is housed. Among managed cloud service users, 68% state that using such services helps them to better manage resource allocation and make SAP and Oracle costs more predictable. In this paper, we will look at common concerns over deploying and optimally managing business-critical, legacy applications in the cloud. We consider the benefits of managed cloud services, and how your

Agile integration — combining integration technologies, Agile delivery techniques, and cloud-native platforms to improve speed and security of software delivery — is a critical foundation for successful digital transformation. The pace of digital innovation and disruption continues to accelerate, driving the need for faster change to business models, processes, and applications. Firms that can quickly reconfigure and reconnect old and new applications have the advantage, and those with slow integration processes are at serious risk of losing customers. An Agile combination of integration and custom development is needed to meet the customer’s expectations and avoid losing market share to competitors that do put the customer first.1 For this study, we assessed the differences between successful and less successful Agile integration and app delivery strategies, why some firms can change their business faster, and what makes one integration strategy better than another. In March 2018, Re

Things are not as they used to be in the enterprise. Today’s employees are mobile, they’re storing and accessing data in cloud apps, and are in disparate networks. While the present-day digital world has changed, the objective of data protection has not: you must still ensure the security of your critical data and intellectual property without impacting an employee’s ability to do their job. The key is to gain visibility into user interactions with data and applications. Once this is achieved, you can apply a level of control based on the specific user’s risk and the sensitivity or value of the data. An organization’s data protection program must consider the human point — the intersection of users, data and networks. Enterprises must remain vigilant of data as it moves across hybrid environments and highlight the users who create, touch and move data who may pose the greatest risk to an organization.

As companies scale, they add solutions leaving employees having to deal with multiple gateways or access points to get to their applications, apps, and data. It creates a poor user experience, slows productivity, and opens organizations to security risks. With Citrix Workspace, IT is able to simplify connections with remote access while maintaining security and control. Download our e-book and find out how we can: Provide users with one access point and single sign-on (SSO) Ensure secure access to apps in the data center, cloud, or delivered as SaaS applications across any device Help IT reduce complexity and meet compliance and security policies

cBackground Fulfilling the security and compliance obligations within the AWS Shared Responsibility Model is critical as organizations shift more of their infrastructure to the cloud. Most infrastructure and application monitoring solutions haven’t caught up to meet these new requirements, forcing IT and security teams to resort to traditional monitoring strategies that don’t allow for innovation and growth. Join us for this webinar to learn how Splunk and AWS give you end-to-end visibility across your applications and help quickly detect potential security threats. Find out how Experian leveraged Splunk Cloud to deliver log data in near real-time to their operations teams for analysis and monitoring, roll out new features/updates faster, create reusable features to deploy in multiple customer environments to scale with their business, and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.

Securing web applications in the AWS cloud environment relies on the cloud service provider and the customer working together in a shared responsibility model. Effective security for web applications on AWS requires full visibility into the environment in which the apps live, while also proactively monitoring for attacks without causing delays in application development and delivery. For some customers this may be a challenge due to limited personnel resources or expertise. This is where Alert Logic can help. We will automatically show you why, where, and how to respond to vulnerability findings and provide you with short- and long-term recommendations to stop active attacks. To help guide the way, following are key considerations for providing sound web application security running on the AWS cloud.

When it comes to cybersecurity, you can only defend what you can see. Organizations continue to suffer breaches, oftentimes because they do not have continuous, real-time visibility of all their critical assets. With more data and applications moving to the cloud, IoT and other emerging technologies, the attack surface continues to expand, giving adversaries more blind spots to leverage. Watch a webinar with SANS where we examine how to: Discover, classify and profile assets and network communications Detect threats and decode content in real-time at wire speed Hunt for unknown threats via rich, indexable metadata Alter your terrain and attack surface with deception to slow down attackers By knowing your cyber terrain and increasing the risk of detection and cost to the adversary, you can gain a decisive advantage.

Transforming Cloud Connectivity & Security in Distributed Networks Today’s digital transformation initiatives frequently begin with moving applications and data to the cloud. But traditional networking and security infrastructure, such as backhauling data from remote locations to central offices over MPLS lines, can’t keep up. Fortunately, new approaches that also move connectivity and security to the cloud are rapidly overcoming these hurdles. Technologies such as direct-to-cloud SD-WAN and site-to-site VPNs dramatically cut the cost of connectivity. However, they put pressure on other parts of the organization to adopt new ways of defending each site against internet intruders, protecting the use of web content, and securing data stored in cloud apps. In this webcast, we’ll discuss a new, integrated approach to connectivity and security. Used by enterprises and government agencies around the world to manage as many as 1,500 sites from a single console, Forcepoint’s branch security
